In the 18th arrondissement of Paris, a three minute walk from the beautiful place Jules Joffrin. The Ruisseau is perfect on the weekend or during the week for a burger, a club sandwich, or eggs benedict. The anglo-saxon influence is obvious in the smiling staff and warm welcome of local families.
At the corner of rue du Ruisseau and rue Montcalm, each of the 20 covers of the little room are illuminated by the large windows on both sides. Enjoy the local bar ambiance, painted in all black and white, on a bistro bench or at the bar on a Tolix stool, while you happily choose from the menu.
The burger, Ruisseau’s specialty is cheese : cheddar, blue cheese, goat cheese, or tomme de vache. The golden brioche rolls, guaranteed never frozen, are homemade daily. The chef supplies the meat from a traditional farm in Nord-Pas-de-Calais and we gladly welcome the delicious flavor of his burger. For Sunday brunch, we choose between the formula club sandwich (with delicious and hearty chicken or salmon) and New York style eggs benedict (just as good as the real thing) are served with home fries, a hot beverage, and orange juice.
Propped comfortably on the booth or the bar like the adults, children enjoy tasty meat and fresh fries with a menu for them: steak frites, grenadine drink, and chocolate cake or vanilla ice cream.
… the reasonable prices that will make you want to extend the brunch with a few slices of delicious pain perdu.
