Fine Parisians pastry lovers already know Colorova for its sweet recipes, but it also has a delicious homemade brunch which punctuates weekends at the Zen tea room: it is in image of the chefs, sophisticated and gourmet. A tasty experience for the young and old alike.
In the upscale area that borders the Bon Marché, where the traditional bistros and bakeries are alongside antique shops and art galleries, Colorova stands out. This tea room does not look like its peers, with its designer showroom tunes and Tunisian kilim rugs; this spot also sells and exhibits works by artists of Colorfield Gallery (located in the Marais).
Charlotte and Guillaume, the owners and couple, met just opposite of Colorova, on the banks of the famous Ferrandi school. They share a love for delicious taste and excellent products: watch the chefs at work in the open kitchen from the dining room. It is hard to resist the succulent recipes of Paul Sésame, a classic homemade shortbread cookie with lemon cream, nougat, and sesame seeds, which leaves no one indifferent. On sunday, enjoy brunch with a plate of pain perdu, jam tartines, fruits compote with chantilly cream, the “Eggs of the week”, a dish created by the chef with fresh products, and wash it down with a hot drink or fruit juice.
This calm and spacious spot is particularly suitable for brunch with your little ones even with a stroller. For children old enough to join you at the table, sit in the first room. They can choose their meal from the breakfast menu: eggs scrambled, poached or fried on toast or crunchy cereal with yogurt or brioche pain perdu for those with a sweet tooth.
… the contemporary and tidy décor of this spot, especially when having tea time with the girls.
