Planted in the heart of the Massif des Maures mountains, about ten kilometers from Saint-Tropez, Les Aurochs is a haven of peace and silence where you can enjoy the best of the Var peninsula away from the tumult. The Décor
To adopt Grimaud as home for a few days means living in a medieval village of 4000 souls, overlooking the mountains and the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. When it’s not too warm, walk near the feudal castle, along medieval streets flowered with bougainvilleas, and take a break in any one of the little shaded squares.
The Location
Rémi and Gerard left Paris two years ago to build their dream home in the South of France. The result is a haven of tranquility nestled in the rugged forest of cork oaks bordering Grimaud. Their three refined cottages take inspiration from yesteryear, stocked with retro furniture, cozy quilts and antiques. The five houses provide all possible independence for families who choose to dawdle on their terrace or in the shade of the palm trees near the pool.
For kids
The cottages consisting of two rooms with either double beds or bunk beds are ideal for small families. For young couples with children, guest rooms are equipped with cot, children’s bath, and high chairs for breakfast.
