Electric Diner : Burger break on Portobello Road

In the heart of Notting Hill, in between the flea markets and tourist shops of Portobello Street, make a stop for the comfortable red booths of the Electric Diner. Kids enjoy mini-plates designed especially for them and parents dive into a burger.

The Décor
With red leather booths, brick walls, and a bar that is the entire length of the restaurant, the Electric Diner has a unique ambiance reminiscent of American restaurants. An authentic diner, this tranquil spot is particularly great for families who want to take a weekend break over a plate of fries or for friends after going to one of the oldest cinemas in London, just next door.

The Food
For breakfast, come and have a homemade brunch of an avocado tartine, poached or boiled eggs, and a generous milkshake. For family lunch, we order a cheeseburger, which comes normal or doubled to share, the hotdog and pork belly with barbecue sauce have earned a taste as well. The menu is copious and the desserts (like the crumble or the lemon meringue tart) are generous.

For Kids
Park your stroller in the garage at the back of the restaurant and then settle your kids into a high-chair or onto the large, comfortable booths. There is a special menu for them, with a large variety just like there is for parents (fish and chips, spaghetti, hotdogs, burgers…) and ice cream for dessert.

We Love …
… being in the heart of Notting Hill, at a restaurant which is perfectly adapted for a meal with a baby or with your older kids.
