The Grazing Goat, London : charming and simple two steps from Oxford Street

On the edge of Hyde Park and two blocks from Oxford Street, a handful of comfortable rooms await small families in London. As welcoming as a village hostel, in the heart of the city, The Grazing Goat provides everything without being overbearing, and at a low price for the British capital.

The Décor
If you plan to see Notting Hill, Hyde Park, and Piccadilly Circus during your family vacation to London, The Grazing Goat is ideally situated. Portman Village, in the upscale area of Marylebone, is a typical London street bustling with nice shops and small cafes. Marylebone High Street and shops are nearby and lead straight to Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum.

The Location
Weathered and natural wood is everywhere, setting the tone for the whole house which combines eight hotel rooms, a restaurant, and a bar (a polished version of the famous English style pub). On the ground floor you brush shoulders with the regular customers of the neighborhood for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The wood floors, pastel walls, and rustic notes give an impression of home sweet home.

For Kids
Simple, charming, and approachable this spot attracts the small families who need a crib or a cot in the room or you can reserve adjoining rooms to give the older kids some independence. The room on the second floor, with a fireplace and plenty of space for high-chairs or strollers, is ideal for a family meal.

We Love …
… to have a drink at the pub, on the terrace in summer or by the fireplace in winter, once the kids are asleep.
